Oregon’s Beacons is primarily a place for devotionals for Oregonians. I use a wide range of topics relating to Oregon to illustrate a biblical scripture. My goals are twofold: to educate and to encourage Oregon’s current-day pioneers.
Almost a decade ago, I roughly followed the path of the Oregon Trail, starting in SE Missouri and ending on the Oregon SW coast.
The beautiful geography throughout the state brought out awe and wonder in me. And I hope I can instill that same awe and wonder into the air.
Oregon is not a lost cause. May the pioneers rebuild it into a state of faith, grace, and holiness.
Visit me on my other website, h. renell’s Hearth. I post my poems and more personal blog posts there.
